1. Introduction​

Welcome to HumanPass. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HumanPass website www.humanpass.world (the "Site"), the HumanPass protocol, applications, and all related services or content (collectively, the "Services").

HumanPass is a cross-chain human identity and reputation framework that enables verified human identity across multiple blockchain environments. Built on World Chain's Proof of Personhood, HumanPass creates a privacy-preserving human reputation layer for the open web.

By accessing or using the Site or Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other notices, policies, or guidelines referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or Services.

2. Definitions​

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • "HumanPass," "we," "our," or "us" refers to the entity operating HumanPass and its affiliates.
  • "User," "you," or "your" refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Site or Services.
  • "Services" means the HumanPass protocol, applications, websites, and related infrastructure made available by HumanPass.
  • "World Mini App" refers to the HumanPass application available within the World App ecosystem.
  • "HumanPass Web Portal" refers to the website at humanpass.world where users can connect blockchain wallets and access HumanPass services.
  • "World ID" refers to the digital identity verification system provided by World Chain.
  • "Human Identity Score" or "HIS" refers to the reputation score calculated based on verification level, linked accounts, and ecosystem engagement.
  • "Human Points" refers to the cumulative points earned through verification and engagement.
  • "Soulbound Token" or "SBT" refers to the non-transferable token minted to a user's wallet address representing their verified human status.
  • "HPFP NFT" refers to the Human Profile Picture NFT system within the HumanPass ecosystem.
  • "Applicable Law" means all laws, regulations, and rules that apply to your use of the Site or Services.

3. Acceptance of Terms​

3.1 Binding Agreement​

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site or Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and represent that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding contract.

3.2 Additional Policies​

These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy and any other guidelines, notices, or disclaimers published on the Site. By accepting these Terms, you also agree to comply with those additional policies.

3.3 Updates to Terms​

HumanPass may amend or update these Terms from time to time. Updates will become effective upon publication on the Site, unless otherwise required by law. Your continued use of the Site or Services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

3.4 No Use if Disagreement​

If you do not agree with these Terms or any future modifications, you must immediately cease all access to and use of the Site and Services.

4. User Eligibility​

4.1 Age Requirement​

The Services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By using the Site or Services, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years or older.

You represent that you have the full right, power, and authority to enter into and comply with these Terms on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent.

4.3 Compliance Obligations​

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all Applicable Laws, including but not limited to data-protection, financial, and export-control regulations in your jurisdiction.

5. HumanPass Services​

5.1 Service Description​

HumanPass provides a cross-chain human identity and reputation framework that enables:

  • Verification of human uniqueness across multiple blockchain environments
  • Creation of a Soulbound Token (SBT) representing your verified human status
  • Linking of social accounts for enhanced authenticity
  • Accumulation of Human Points through verification and engagement
  • Access to the HPFP NFT system for verified users

5.2 Components​

The HumanPass system consists of two main components:

  • World Mini App: Your primary interface for managing your HumanPass identity, connecting social accounts, and viewing your verification status and Human Identity Score.
  • HumanPass Web Portal: The platform for connecting blockchain wallets, verifying identity across chains, and accessing HumanPass-integrated services.

5.3 Service Modifications​

HumanPass reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, including but not limited to features, functionality, or availability periods. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes where practicable.

6. User Data and Responsibilities​

6.1 Privacy-First Model​

HumanPass follows a privacy-first model. All calculations are performed through HumanPass servers to ensure accuracy and reward distribution, but no private data, messages, or credentials are stored. World ID, wallet, and social verification data are converted into encrypted or hashed proof values, used solely for attestation and cross-chain reference.

6.2 User Responsibility for Accounts and Security​

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your World ID and wallet credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account or through your connected wallets
  • Ensuring that you log out from your account at the end of each session
  • Notifying HumanPass immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security

6.3 Accuracy of Information​

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of any information provided during the verification process. HumanPass does not guarantee that any verification or attestation will be accepted by third parties.

6.4 Assumption of Risk​

By using the Services, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with blockchain and cryptographic systems, including but not limited to:

  • Irreversibility of blockchain transactions
  • Potential bugs or vulnerabilities in smart contracts or cryptographic libraries
  • Fluctuations in the value of digital assets or associated fees
  • Potential loss of access to digital assets due to lost private keys or credentials

7. Verification Process and Requirements​

7.1 World ID Verification​

To use HumanPass, you must verify your human uniqueness via World Chain's World ID. Verification data is hashed and stored in a format that allows reference by other connected chains.

7.2 Wallet Linking and Soulbound Token​

When you link your EVM wallet, HumanPass mints a Soulbound Token (SBT) to that address. This token is non-transferable and represents the wallet's verified human status. As you connect more wallets or chains, those addresses can reference the same Personhood proof, allowing consistent identity across ecosystems.

7.3 Social Account Linking​

You may connect your Twitter and Telegram accounts to prove social authenticity and community participation. Only cryptographic signatures are processed — no personal data, messages, or credentials are collected.

7.4 Human Identity Score and Points​

Your Human Identity Score (HIS) is recalculated weekly based on verification level, linked accounts, and ecosystem engagement. New activities or proofs increase your cumulative Human Points.

8. HPFP NFT System​

8.1 Description​

The HPFP (Human Profile Picture) NFT system allows verified HumanPass users to create customizable profile pictures that represent their digital identity. These NFTs combine blockchain verification with personalized visual traits.

8.2 Trait System​

Users can spend earned Human Points to unlock various visual traits for their HPFP. Traits are categorized by rarity, affecting both their visual distinctiveness and point cost.

8.3 Rare HPFP Collection​

HumanPass may release a limited collection of rare pre-designed HPFPs with unique trait combinations and exclusive elements. The availability, pricing, and distribution method of these NFTs will be announced through official HumanPass channels.

8.4 Ownership and Rights​

Each HPFP NFT is linked to your verified HumanPass identity. While you own the NFT, HumanPass retains all intellectual property rights to the underlying artwork, traits, and design elements. Your ownership grants you a limited license to use the HPFP for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. User Conduct​

9.1 Compliance with Laws​

You agree to use the Site and Services only in compliance with these Terms and all Applicable Laws.

9.2 Prohibited Activities​

You must not, directly or indirectly:

  • Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Site, Services, or underlying infrastructure
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the integrity or performance of the protocol, network, or third-party services
  • Upload, transmit, or introduce viruses, worms, malware, or malicious code
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any individual or organization
  • Circumvent, disable, or attempt to exploit the security measures of the protocol
  • Engage in abusive behavior or fraudulent activity, including repeated attestations or multi-account manipulation
  • Attempt to create multiple HumanPass identities or otherwise circumvent the Proof of Personhood verification

9.3 Enforcement​

HumanPass reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending access, reporting to regulators, or pursuing legal remedies in response to any violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property​

10.1 Ownership​

All content, designs, trademarks, logos, source code, protocol specifications, documentation, interfaces, and any other intellectual property made available on or through the Site or Services (collectively, the "Materials") are the exclusive property of HumanPass or its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and international treaties.

10.2 Limited License​

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, HumanPass grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Materials solely for personal, informational, and non-commercial purposes.

10.3 Restrictions​

You may not, without prior written consent from HumanPass:

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute the Materials
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services
  • Use the Materials for commercial exploitation or derivative works
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices or trademarks

Any unauthorized use of the Materials constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in civil or criminal liability.

11.1 External Websites​

The Site may contain links to external websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by HumanPass. HumanPass does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the content, policies, or practices of such third parties.

11.2 Wallets and dApps​

Your interaction with wallets, decentralized applications (dApps), or blockchain networks through the Services is governed by the terms and policies of those third parties. HumanPass does not control or assume liability for how they process your data or execute transactions.

11.3 World ID and Social Platforms​

HumanPass relies on World ID for Proof of Personhood verification and social platforms for account linking. HumanPass is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services.

11.4 User Responsibility​

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Accessing third-party content or services is at your own risk
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with any third-party terms and policies
  • HumanPass shall not be liable for damages or disputes arising from your use of third-party services

12. Disclaimer of Warranties​

12.1 "As Is" Basis​

The Site and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

12.2 No Implied Warranties​

To the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law, HumanPass expressly disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Site or Services

12.3 Blockchain Risks​

HumanPass makes no warranty that:

  • The Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Verifications or attestations will be accepted by third parties
  • Protocol operations will be immune from cyberattacks, exploits, or network failures

12.4 Jurisdictional Limitations​

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such cases, certain disclaimers in this Section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of Liability​

13.1 Exclusion of Damages​

To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, HumanPass, its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Special or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, business, goodwill, or data

Arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or Services, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise.

13.2 Liability Cap​

In no event shall the total liability of HumanPass for any claim exceed:

  • The total amount paid by you (if any) for accessing or using the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
  • USD $100, whichever is lower.

13.3 User Responsibility​

You are solely responsible for securing your devices, private keys, and wallet credentials. HumanPass shall not be liable for losses arising from user error, negligence, or misuse of the Services.

13.4 Jurisdictional Limitations​

Certain jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations in this Section shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Termination​

14.1 Termination by User​

You may terminate your use of the Services at any time by ceasing to use the Site and Services. However, certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination.

14.2 Termination by HumanPass​

HumanPass reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Requests by law enforcement or other government agencies

14.3 Effect of Termination​

Upon termination:

  • Your right to access and use the Services will immediately cease
  • Any Soulbound Tokens or verifications may remain on the blockchain but may no longer be supported by HumanPass
  • Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution will survive termination

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution​

15.1 Governing Law​

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

15.2 Dispute Resolution​

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in relation to these Terms, including the validity, invalidity, breach, or termination thereof, shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration of the Swiss Chambers' Arbitration Institution in force on the date on which the Notice of Arbitration is submitted.

  • The number of arbitrators shall be one
  • The seat of the arbitration shall be Zurich, Switzerland
  • The arbitral proceedings shall be conducted in English

15.3 Class Action Waiver​

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against HumanPass.

16. Miscellaneous​

16.1 Entire Agreement​

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and HumanPass regarding your use of the Services.

16.2 Severability​

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16.3 No Waiver​

HumanPass's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of such right or provision. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of HumanPass.

16.4 Assignment​

You may not assign or transfer these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without HumanPass's prior written consent. HumanPass may freely assign or transfer these Terms without restriction.
